I've had some really good results with Watco epoxy paint in my workshops. They do a prep wash for oil and grease stains.
It's expensive at about £200 for a single garage but you'll never need to redo it. I'm sure there are cheaper brands.
The clamp handle is welded on so squadies don’t lose them.
You can grind the weld off and adapt the spigot so the handle is removable.
Makes the vice more useable. Here’s how I did it. The handle already has the hex hole.
Thanks, I don’t know if they work or not and don’t have anyway of testing them either. The were removed from a large building that was being turned into two smaller ones. They weren’t removed because of a fault so I assume they’re ok.
I’m prepared to take offers as untested but don’t know if I...
It’s also possible there’s an air leak after the Maf sensor causing the engine to run rich and block the dpf.
It happens with sprinters and their leaky plastic intake manifolds.
Mine runs a plasma table. It's a Hydrovane 5 that I turned into the higher output 15 model by swapping the motor. That's the only difference between the two models.
I swapped the motor in 2018 and no issues so far. It's not used every day but sometimes I use it for several hours at a time...
True dat.
I did my first van conversion last year and the quality of the caravan/camper components is shocking.
Seriously, they make OE parts from my Merc main dealer look like an absolute bargain. :dontknow:
Also, as more people are selling their houses to live full time in...
Chroming used to be cheap because a lot of places didn't worry about the H&S of the workers or the environmental impact. A place near me used to do it and it was frankly, disgusting on both levels. They were shut down a few years back.
Better working conditions and responsible disposal are...
I keep an old jam jar half full of paint thinners and every time I’ve finished using a spray can I take the nozzle off and leave it in the jar ready for the next time.
Having owned a Boxster a few years ago I'd sell it and let someone else have the problems. They can be a bloody nightmare, mine was.
Almost everything started to go wrong (oil leaks, suspension, brakes, electrics, hood mechanism, mysterious engine noises) and I found myself nursing it along...
My camper conversion is 99% done but I've still got the bathroom door to make.
I was going to make it from 12mm hardwood ply and stick PVC hygiene sheeting to both sides. Similar to how I made the walls.
But, someone on the camper conversion FB group has tried using ply and the door has...
Just a reminder to check your steel delivery before the driver disappears...
5mm mild steel sheet.
Anyone else suffering a drop in quality to go with the high prices? This isn't the first time it's happened but it's certainly the worst.
I think the key to blade life is to follow the instructions. No more than two teeth should be cutting at one time. This is why they supply the clamp to hold box section at 90 degrees. And also why they're no good (or don't last long) when you try and do mitre cuts on box section...
On my MWB I removed the OE plastic roof rack plugs and fitted 4x m8 rivnuts down each side then used Butyl rubber tape the between the galv unistrut and body. The bolts squeeze the tape and waterproof the whole lot. I try not drill into the body unless I really have to.
I know a lot of people...
