Well seriously speaking to be a professional in this business it will take some time.Till then everything will have change!
If was you I will go for the R-Tech learn and then upgrade. Not sure why you need the AC?
Are you going to weld Aluminium?
You have to stay and think what you intent to...
As previously said budget is really important in this hunting business mate.
EWM is a really respectable German Brand.
Well really speaking you cannot compare an R-Tech machine with a machine from these brands Mate you have in your list.
There are reasons.
Now as beginner R_TECH is something...
Well Matt I was hoping that someone will be given an idea.
Seems a lot of people to have done a DIY footpedal here.
I didn't except to be a so big issue to be honest.
Not so big problem to purchase an original pedal.
Just not sure if the issue is with my welder, this is what really concerns...
No there isn't any short between the green and blue at the pot.
The issue is shenion that it actually freeze when I turn the potetiometer on .
This is why I try to find a way and check the 5 wire socket first and see from there.
Not know how to check that .
Could i do it with a multimeter...
Wedg I plug the pedal and yeap the pins matches.
Not know what to do really and what else to check.
at least to clarify firstly that the issue is not the welder itself but the footpedal.
I feel this is a start to short out the thing!
I do understand what you mean.
Well the photo in the manual with the actual plug is not 100% the same.
Just open and check also the plug of my new Ergo Torch and the Switch has been plugged as follow:
Black cable in the Number 1
Red cable in the Number 2
Really fenestrate my friend...
Shenion there is numbers in the back of the plug from the 1 till 7.
I have wire it according that.
I think the image from the manual shows the back of the plug where the numbers exist.
So for example the Black Wire is on the Number one the Red to the Number two etc.
Hi some more photos submited hope is more clear.
Please anyone let me know if there is way to test the 5 wire socket of my welder to see if actually all the pins work properly ?
With a Multimeter for example and if so what I have to look for?
The Potetiometer is a 10K.
As i said before when...
Ok hotrod thanks for your reply.
I will post some more photos tomorrow.
It seems everything to be corect to be honest but you never know.
I have puchase a switched potetiometer 10K.
Not sure as I purchase the welder second hand if the actual 5 wire remote control device works and not know...
Hi to all!
Finally I manage to bring altogether the footpedal and the switch connection.
I plug the switch to the 5 wire socket of my welder and I adjust the knob to show the footpedal mode.
I switch on the potetiometer a fan starts from my welder but that all.
The Amp not seem to go up or...
 I do know what you mean CJ. Robstar you couldn't find it or you didn't even search for it .
I know boys, I have the same feel when someone ask me for a tool.
Sometimes I keep some spare for this kind of situation. For serious tools my welder for example noway to use someone...
