Check the polarity of the wire.
its often ep,the same as mig/mag.if the machine has a non synergic setting you can run it on that and tweak to suit.
somebody might come along with more knowledge of your machine
Being in cork the easy return and replace is tougher, even if just a little.
I would buy 2 cheap ones
Get a can of blue paint and get some Rtech stickers made up.
See if one magically welds different to the other.
Age old debate sorted
I think the rheostat is the same hugh, but not much else.the generators are physically bigger and handle more current so id expect them to be different.
There might be parts of the exciter circuit similar but there it would be hard to verify with so little of them in use over there
Normally its the on off switch that the dc fries.hold on the switch and plug her in.i wouldnt be doing it too often though
Lots of us spec grinders, the better ones anyway, are rated for both ac and dc
Took a week off.recharge the batteries.body is feeling the strain of long hours, and horsing 6 inch pipe around.
i didnt get a chance to video it welding . intermittent rain mainly, but also the voltage adjusting rheostat is getting hot after a few minutes welding.
Worst case scenario is the field...
Last day of short holiday tomorrow, back in Western Romania,i mean London, monday.
the plan is get up at the arsecrack of dawn and butcher some welding leads together and road test Linda the Lincoln*
My longest leads are 5m max.and i think 35mm so they will get warmish at 375 amps
*its face...
Update
got the exciter coils rewound.flashed them and its working as it should,i think.
im getting variable ocv from the welding terminals of 50 to 100 volts when i change the job sellector, and the aux is putting out 110v dc.she runs a 9 inch grinder without even idling up.
i just need to make...
The b&q and stanley squares i wouldnt use to stir a tin of redox, but i think the bahco ones are reasonable value for money for rougher stuff.my heart doesnt stop if they take a tumble, like the mitutoyo
Theres a few indicators Mr Moore
the different gas mixtures labelled on the wire feed adjuster is something they nearly exclusively used
the red white colouring scheme
the voltage/power settings numbers contained in a little circle
Pretty sure that control socket is fronius
bohler just...
