A brief update. I've now escaped the daily visiits to the "Ambulatory Care Unit" (why can't they just call it Outpatients?) and am now on antibiotics, had to ring the gp this morning to get a replacement prescription - "the duty doctor will call you back", except they didn't so I chased this...
While you could be fined "up to £1,000", I would suggest that two key factors are missing from the debate - reasonable and proportionate. If you've just moved house, it might be reasonable for Plod to remind you to update your details with no further action. If you're questioned following an...
Another reason to add to the list of why I hate horseflies! Interestingly Dr Google suggests that some doctors (possibly American due to the "sue 'em" culture) have taken to prescribing a daily dose of low level antiobiotics for life - which seems a bit extreme given we're constantly warned...
My car's in for an mot tomorrow. The rear window wiper has stopped working and I'm wondering if it's required to be working. It may just be a fuse, but mobility issues due to cellulitis mean any investigation will have to wait (thanks Mr Ford for fitting the fuses in the passenger footwell :mad...
Quick update. Went in today for IV drip session and saw yet another doc who confirmed that I'm diabetes free (phew) bloods showing infection is going down (should hope so after two weeks of IV antibiotics) and then just when I thought I was on the home straight, I was sent along for an x-ray (no...
When I divorced I moved house a couple of times before ending up here. Along the way I forgot to update my licence, and eventually got round to it when I taxed the car. Along the way a parking ticket couldn't keep up with my house moves and three or four years later it appears to have given up...
I'll ask them this morning. I was aware of diabetes being a potential factor and was tested last year as part of an mot at my gp - was negative then but these things can change...
I've had this twice before - and normally antibiotics will have it sorted (or at least on the wane) within 48 hours. This time it's in a different league altogether - I'm now on day 10 and my leg looks like its been transplanted from an elephant below the knee. I currently attend Outpatients on...
Somewhere like this looks a good place to start https://www.acoustiblok.co.uk/news/ Take a look at their products and the explanation of the difference between sound deadening and sound absorption.
Had a quick peek on Welding Supplies Direct's website...oh dear, as expected the price is given as POA, which as we all know means they are not priced at two for a tenner! Any chance of a rough price (purely curiosity, not intended purchase!) @Tom Orrow L ?
Had two Octavias, both diesel and no complaints. First one written off after some bint in a minibus was too busy on her phone to notice me indicating to turn right off the main road and ploughed straight into the back. Second one, the ex left it parked on a mild slope outside the house -...
That photo looks like the tenants have a sofa sittiing in an alcove - effectively sealing off three sides from any airflow. Combine this with a lack of ventilation, tumble drier, cooking, long showers etc and all the water vapour will condense on the coldest surface. Two possible solutions...
