Good point, will get a new board ordered and get it fitted and tested. FYI this was how it was supplied (used) from a fairly reputable/large supplier and with a loler test just issued... I did get on to them but "it must have happened since we delivered it" is their stance (screws have...
Possibly, yes. You hear them clicking on and off at random (picker sitting empty / no load or movement) so not sure if that's a sign that they are sticking / something else on the board is faulty / the load cell is giving a spurious signal
Other side is just the soldered terminals and then the boards been sealed with wax(?) so still looks as new. I did have it off but didnt get a photo...will grab one soon
Hi All, does anyone have any recommendations for PCB testing / repair? The board on my cherry picker has been soaked and is now throwing up an overweight warning (that's all this board does so could also be the load cell which is faulty in fairness). New board is £200, but before I do that, I...
Does anyone know if its ok to send something on a blue chep pallet…or will the collection company refuse to uplift since they belong to chep???
Cheers, Andy
Thanks all - plenty good ideas there so sure I will be able to cobble something up! Great shout on the 3D printer...it's not been used since the visor making of covid so would put it to good use :clapping:
Hi All,
I’m looking to get an adapter made to allow me to set the timing on the wee ones Comer kart engine which will essentially house a DTI (already got a decent one so trying to use it) in the cylinder head with a rod going down to determine where TDC is and go back 4mm ish from there. Does...
I’m looking to use my hydraulic bench press to bend some flat bar from time to time. Nothing fancy, maybe up to 50x5 and to 90deg.
What should I be looking for to do this? Assume there must be something off the shelf…but I cant find the right words to search for Thanks!
Anyone have any recommendations on where to get a pressure gauge calibrated (or even if its worth it…)?
One on my 10T hydraulic press is reading 2T at rest.
That would be great thanks.
You are probably right…but the ones I have found off the shelf seem pretty expensive now so thought I’d ask the question
Just had a read at your thread. Hope you are keeping ok! £150 seems good, but £300+ is pushing it a bit ☹️
Will have a look at them if all else...
I’m needing some new hinges for my Defender and wondering if someone could give me a price for milling thrm up or recommend somewhere to approach? Might not be worthwhile, but I have a bit of stainless that could be used.
They are approx 20mm thick, 83mm high, 75&33mm wide.
Thanks, Andy
Depending how much you are willing to spend, you could go lithium ion. I have this in my Westfield car and it can be mounted in any orientation and is very light. They are £250ish though…
