had a look at your welder on eBay, it says its gas/no gas and comes with a reel of flux wire and and reel for use with gas, you said your 1st welds were awful, check which reel you are using, flux coated uses no gas and...

not a problem james, as your only setting your flow to 10lpm pressure is'nt a problem, you could blow harder than that, just make sure its tight, so you get no leaks.

hi currymunster, sorry i got your name wrong before. pictures speak a thousand words as they say, you can use the same pipe as in the link i pointed you to, just cut off the large nut that connects to your reg, then put a jubilee clip on your new pipe tighten up and away you go.

i currently have a clarke turbo 150 mig, and am in the market for buying a new welder, im looking at the portamig 185, trouble is i have no option at the moment but to run these machines off a 25 mtr extension cable.
will the portamig be ok on this, i am useing a 16amp 2.5mmsq cable...
