Thanks mrfuzzy and doddslc, so a C20 mcb, then a 32A socket about 2m from consumer unit, so a new circuit makes sense, what size cable would be safe for that distance?.

Its a Tec Arc 211.
It works fine on 13A plug on the second to highest setting, but i need the extra ooomph at the moment.
No other info given in instructions to fuse type other than "slow"
