there ae a couple of designs out there that use dremel like power heads and either carbide burs or grinding stones, some are hand held relying on eye to get your angles, others have a guide frame that clamps on the bar, and there is a weird little gadget from the states that clamps on the bar...
some folk dont understand cnc's very well, with a modern machine, a retagular slot is less than a dozen lines of code, setup, half the time of conventional, and run time for a simple hole in a plastic lid, less than a minute.
and to answer the question, what can a cnc do that a manual...
hopefully someone can help me, I've just aquired a hydrovane 705 and need some help, insibe the electrical control box, somebody has removed a couple of the relays, thoughtfully they've tagged the wires, but not left a clue asto the relay types, and on one end, they've removed what looks like it...
your lovely dolmar is an old school saw, no chain brake and no AV mounts, great as an orniment, or on a milling setup, but forget using it for any tree cutting, 10 mins and your fingers will start to loose there feeling plus you wont be allowed to use it in any commercial activity, it doesnt...
are any of you aware it is an offense to buy, sell or trade railway track, only the rail companies can buy it, and no scrapyards will touch it.............some old laws to do with railways
only advice I would add. for each of your cnc machines, add a dedicated earth return, at leasta size up on the feed wire sizes, makes for a "clean" install, less chance of noise to the controller, and if your linking the controllers(dnc links), keep the ethernet well away from any heavy power feeds
you can do it with filling it with water and freezing it, the trick is add somewashing up liquid to the water, it makes the ice pliable and doesnt shatter when you bend it
nice work there, these smaller machines have turned out hundreds, if not thousands of precision parts around the globe for years and are great for folk that dont have a lot of room. its all about working to your limitations and finding ways to work around not having the size.
awemawson, I made my living in a shop that ran several different cnc mills, interacts, boss controllers, and ****zuma generics, everyone had the same problems, there all getting on towards 30+years old, the electronics, if you can call them that, are shagged, unless you are willing to rip the...
tnc150 controller, glitchy, very very small memory, drives are glitchy as hell, spindle doesnt have the speed, or power to fully utilise cnc, a second generation cnc machine that would make a good boat anchor, there are cheap chinese hoby mills out there that are 100% more capable than this, and...
you are going to need a welder in the region of 6-7.5KVA to run your welder, and it will require a voltage regulator on it as well, the inductive load every time you strike the torch is huge. if your getting a white powder on your welds, or white fluffy smoke coming off, its galvinised sheet, be...
even with a synergic set at the factory , it is very unlikly that it will suit every welder, no two humans operate the same, every user will tweek to suit themselves, thats why anything in a factory now, if its critical , is done by a robot
apprentice raising his voice to a tradesman, if he did it with me, when he gathered himself out of the corner where he was booted, he'd be told to wind his neck in and shut his trap
