got given two propane bottles so made another stove(my second attempt) ....,much easier this time only took about 3 eve,s....,used an old copper pan with pyrex lid as viewing window..bit of scaffold pole with butterfly valve as air intake ..two staggered baffles inside..an old foot pump...
just watched this video, apologies if its been posted before....designer of wacky vehicles, some very good metalwork skills on show...!(quite long about 1hr)
good work!... i was going to make a detachable stand(gotta think of the weight)...but found this on ebay for£25 inc del...multi adjustable so would fit many bmw,s includes extendable 1/2"socket wrench thingy...result!
True ,the vehicle can be inspected ,however if advised unless blatant wrong decision made mot tester would probably get a warning and points against him
motor vechicles are allowed some wear,at what point it becomes unacceptable is difficult...to determine, it will vary from tester to tester,if its borderline then it should be a pass and advise,at least its been noted and been brought to attention
thats fine with a black and white item ie light not working...what about corrosion when does it become excessive?or a non standard exhaust become too noisey? or tinted glass too dark? opinions vary...
all those local roads feel new again..! i never go the shortest route any where...! only a motorcyclist knows why a dog sticks his head out a car window...!it,s braw..!
no just drill and bolt through the cyl, in fact you dont really need bkt,s just allow the baffles to sit on the bolt threads,....yes it makes a difference stops the heat going straight up the flue..
i just cut plates approx half the diameter of the cyl, slip them in through the door apeture, and secure with simple, L brackets and bolts no welding usually bout 3/4 way up..sometimes two if theres room...easily changed if requred...
i returned to bikes last year at the age of 55...hadn,t ridden for over 30 yrs..it.s great, wish i,d done it sooner..!really enjoying it, 650gs is ideal, single cyl ,light simple, not too powerfull,i say do it....!
well i finally found the time to strip the pulley/quill/spindle assy and degreased it for a look see...actually v good cond, plenty grease, no nasty metal fragments look,s fine...shoved all the bit,s together on the bench can,t see what the problem would be...anyway decided to put it all back...
if i were buying again i would either buy separates of a good make or buy facom socket sets 1/4 £50 3/8 £50 1/2 £80 off ebay, prime tools have them for example very good value, then buy odd sizes as and when needed...
