So could I use like a battery charger and feed 24 DCvolts to pins 3 and 4 and try out if the wire feed would be more stable, if it has any good affect then I will get a seperate 230VAC/24DC power supply and plug that to the on and off switch, which is on the welder itself. The wires what come...
Heres part of the schematic diagram of the welder. I would like to ask what do pins 3 and 4 on the pcb do? they go straight to the rectifier +and earth(-) do they tell the pcb how many volts is selected and then control the wire fead speed and can this feature be disabled(by just pulling the...
Thanks for reply eddie49,
Yes the top one is the choke and the bottom two ones are power transformers for the welding voltage/current connected from the heat switch what go from 1-8. The transistor has not even got any room for a heatsink, I was thinking of getting a wire feed motor like this...
Just thought to take some pictures of the welder inside (seeing how dusty it is)and what do other people think of the build quality. Thing what I think is that the wire feed motor has a bad design allways issues with it. Had this welder for a year now and bought this one brand new. once...
P.F1 P.F2 P.S1 = they could be something to do with the Hz(pulse), because they go up to 200.
P.C1, P.H5= no idea
Have you tried to send a email to fimer about the values, if you get a reply mail me back because I would like to know as well.
When you power the machine up what firmware version do you have on yours?
On mine, the version is 1,04
I tried the SG2 program and it worked grate, were do you have the inductance setting? I have set this on my machine half way round, the setting varies from 1-20 so on mine, number 10 position. .
Hi
Check that the Co2/argon gas is coming throw properly(8-10litres a min)= otherwise you will burn holes all the while and you will get porosity.
And check that the polarity is set right(+is gun - is earth, other way round with gas less flux wire) . The welder what you have looks like you can...
When taking the shroud off you have to be careful not to contact the tip with the working peace, because you will short circuit the welder, there are shrouds that have holes drilled in them so that the spatter doesnt clog the shroud up.
Or it could be the that the earth is not set right>> I welded once with the polarity set + on the torch and the - for the earth(normal welding with gas), I didnt remember to change the polarity to the other way round.
