hi, building your own spot welder sounds like alot of hassle, considering everything on the locost can be welded with a mig, the transformer from an
arc welder sounds like a good idea, as you can vary the power, im sure there
will be books available on the internet, maybe even some plans, ill...
ive found that if you use a o.8 tip with 0.6 wire then it very rarely sticks,
also when i bought my welder new i didnt check the feed roller, it was set for gasless wire and i put 0.6 in wich led to the wire constantly sticking with a
bit of wire protruding from the end of the torch so it...

bottles for about 18.00, dont know what the deposit is or if theres one
near you, a google search should help you find branch locations,
failing that try your local pub, its usually the cheapest option if you can find a...

machine is struggling on a low setting dont be afraid to turn the power...
having had a good look, the floor panel, (front off side) does,nt look that

nice to find the real thing, cheers guys,

hi again ian, what made you change up in size? genrally the .8 wire is
better for thicker work, you will need to play with the settings ie power
and wire speed according to the thickness of the material, practice on scrap to tune the settings, if you,re welding thin stuff i find i need to...
hello ian, your probably not doing anything wrong at all, if you weld ok
with .6 wire then your technique etc must be ok, practice will help you
get used to the thicker wire, i have the same trouble welding thin stuff,
