If you ever buy one in person let the saw hang from the cord, if it walks down the cord it needs a piston kit, if it holds its own weight without dropping its a good un ;) make sure the decompresser plug is closed though.
A seized saw used to be terminal and fit for the bin because of prices...then China decided doing laundry and cooking was not enough and went into the "copying game" result in a piston kit being £65 and a carb £18. Result :thumbup:
I actually prefer the TS350 over the TS400 as its better balanced in use, so much so i have 5 in bits all waiting a full rebuild when i exchange some free time for work time :(
Little hint from a TS400 user from the introduction date...before you put it away stop the motor by "fogging" it, that's full choke till stall. Will start much easier when you need it next going through normal procedure.;)
By all reports and videos i have seen they seem to work very well, could you not get them onto your log splitter with an engine hoist,your ram seems upto the job
