Make sure you have a drawing to work to. That way Anything questionable can't come back on you. (worst case scenario)
It may be fine. It might not. People are quick to point fingers if things get pear shaped Imo.
My mums had two of the old ones,and the only thing she had trouble with was the cvt transmission in her first one was making a racket. The oil got changed and it ran for many more miles.

Surface grinders are awesome for grinding up nice sharp turning tools. Used them a fair bit in mold/gauge making. Form grinding punches dies, pins.
As with everything every tool. A healthy respect needed.

Acetone will usually evaporate before you have to worry about shelf life. It really depends on application. I use it for aircraft component overhaul ,and we have to shelf life every consumable for audit purposes. Thats the only reason
