I am looking at replacing the liner and was wondering which would be best, the choice is plastic, metal or teflon.
I reckon I can discount the plastic one, so which one would be better?
Many thanks

Thanks for the replies, I have tried different wire speeds, the machine is about 6 months old, the wire is in good condition. The wire tension appears to be fine (it doesnt slip and doesnt seem to bind). The gas I am using is BOC Argoshield. The problem only seems to have started since I welded...
Hi Guys
Possibly a strange one,
But I am have problems with my welder 'blowing a flame and melting the metal rather than welding the pieces together.
The steel is all new and clean with a clean earth, it is Mini bodywork so I am using the lowest power setting. If I turn the setting up...
A question about power.
I have read about this previously but I cannot find the thread again, so I am afraid I have to ask a question that has already been answered.

Thanks
David
Thanks for the replies guys

First post
What are the wire size differences? apart from the numbers.
Which one is better for car bodywork? I have used flux cored before so I had a choice of 0.9 or 0.9. lol
Any help gratefully received
David
Thanks Malcolm
The welder I have is a basic no-gas welder with 2 power settings (spit-spit or blow through), am I best on high setting?
The welder is a clarke 85en
Thankyou :D
I have read the article about plug welding and found it informative. Now the only problem I seem to have is the hole size, the flange I want to weld is 10mm wide. So I feel that a hole 7.5mm in diameter would be too great.
Would 7.5mm be ok or what dameter hole would you recommend?
I am...
