Time for another update on this long running project.
All the primer etc was done back in 2022 following week's and week's of preparation and now all doors and glass in windscreen and even a few wires.
Got to try and keep pushing the rest of the year as tgd leather work is booked in fir...
So with my long running project I thought about time I took a look at the next bits to sort out.
So this old speedo has a couple of issues the biggest are the two splits in the frame. You can see one at the base of the drive shaft. and I think the needle is stuck.

At the moment it would be used on a 2012 e class. This and similar age vw tigwan.
Although the next cars will be newer at some point but not yet.
The maxicom 808 looks great. Do you have to pay each year for access?
After a few Dpf issues and a few trips to a garage I feel the need for a obd2 scanner.
But no idea where to start and would be happy to spend up around the 400 mark if required.
I won't be using on a daily basis so just diy level for myself

I don't live in Eastbourne but my parents are although mid 70s.. I'm sure he might go but wouldn't know what to look for. I might be down there mid November at the earliest..

So I painted a few weeks ago my 1927 humber body and wing's. I used Macrofan HS Clearcoat over the base. The finish for me a non painter is good but there is a small bit of orange peel and a few specs of dust that I need to remove.
I'm not sure it warrants sanding but I'm outside my comfort...
Anyone here that knows the Southampton area?

Firstly many thanks for all your help i really appreciate it. I've tired a photo of the rest panel but very hard to tell on a picture. Do I've put some on this old frame so excuse the lack of prep etc but with the curves its a bit easier to see what I refer to as plastic looking.
