Will keep an eye on this build, plan to do a 90 this year on a galv chassis along with galv bulkhead and steel doors but that will need to wait till my disco is done.
You might find its a lot worse than that wee hole, I had the same on both sides, accessed from above, boot floor was removed for replacement. What I found was the top of the chassis was rotten as well. :(
Ah looks like you have a disco with the factory fitted rust pack fitted there. Looks just like my one did before I started to cut it up and fix he dam thing.
They last a not to bad length of time, sure it's not as long as other bigger bottles but there's no rent and that's a good thing for me,
Hilux sounds good, I am rebuilding and lifting my disco 300, spent more time welding than driving with it tho lol
Welcome psychosaffa
the lads in premier are very helpful and they do bottles of hobby weld so rent free, £50 deposit and £29 for a refill.
What kinda truck are you working on?
Thanks, thought I was right about the brown soot, will try spend a few hours this week getting to know and use this machine,
Apart from that do the welds look good?

The bad points for rust on the 106/ saxos are both front wings rear inner wings and around where your pic shows it,
I normaly get my sheet from auto scot in paisley, there is prob better places to use but there local and handy to use.
Also what's the front inner wings like on your gti?? I have just had to cut and repair one for a friend,
Hi every one.
Right I am thinking of having a go at spray painting, like to try new things. First of I am looking for some advise from the people in the know.
I am looking at moving my compressor out of my garage and in to an other out building so it gets clean air pluss it's away so I...
It's a good bit of smoke not just a wee puff.. Could be the 90 degrees bend I have in the pipe but don't think I can help that.. Can the baffle be to big or in the wrong place..
Hi everyone. Well after a few days of messing about in the garage I finally got my log burner fired up. Every thing was going well till I opened the door and I got a load of smoke out it. Now I am sure this should not happen so why is it..
I have used a 4" flu pipe and have fitted a baffle...
