When i had my heating boiler renewed a few years ago the wireless stat was in the lounge/dining room,all radiators bar the bathroom have thermostatic valves.we found the upstairs got cold of an evening as once the lounge was up to temp boiler shut down,moved the stat to top of stairs on landing...
just buy a cheap cutoff tool and save all the faff, i have 2 with different thickness discs 1mm and 1.6mm,ebay specials and have been abused for 3 years now.
dont over think it nylocs will be fine,a lot of japanese pickups ie hilux just have spring washers and deeper standard nuts.
re the shackles standard practice on the front axles of lots of vehicles

Nice trolley,i did something similar to my clark version,boxed it in on 3 sides.shelf underneath keeps the swarf out and provides storage for the offcuts that always come in handy.
i agree those BT body ones look very nose heavy,some good vids on youtube showing models where the noseweight can be moved showing how dangerous getting it wrong can be.
we too have to wear specs,provided free via work, scheme is bolle via boots opticians,however i find even with all the coatings they scratch really easily( 3rd pair in 18months)i also have some i paid for via specsavers (their ownbrand)these are proving to be far better.
one thing to consider is...
for home use co2 is adequate for most jobs,been using it for 25 years.look up cellar suppliers about £20 a bottle round here last ages.
Have argoshield light at work which is obviously better,all depends on your use/pocket
