This might be a stupid question but here goes.
I am spraying a paint with a 1mm fluid tip gravity fed gun. The tech sheet for the paint says the following:
Tip size: 1.0 - 1.5 mm.
Atomising pressure: 2 - 4 bar
Since I am using a 1.0mm tip, do I need to be at the 2 bar end of the pressure...
I am going to get this spiral point tap:

Will this be ok for tapping by hand? Also can anyone recommend a good tap handle?
The drill size hole for M10 is 8.5 and I am using a good quality dormer drill bit make the hole. I am using the...
Hello,
I have drilled an 8.5mm hole in 12mm thick stainless steel and I want to tap an M10 thread in it.
I have a set of hand taper taps but it will not cut the stainless, it goes in about 1/4 of the way and then gets stuck and it feels like the tap is going to break.
I understand I will...
Thanks for the reply.
That's what I was afraid of. I just cannot seem to find a decent industrial belt grinder.
Thanks for the offer but I really need one thats in the horizontal position.
Hi All,
I currently have a 4" RJH horizontal belt sander but I need to upgrade to something that has a larger belt and also more power.
Looking at new machinery I have come across this machine that Baileigh make:

Hi all,
I picked up a 3 phase linisher and have installed a single phase motor on it.
Would it be possible to wire up the 3 phase starter to run the single phase motor? It also has a foot stop that I would like to wire in.
Starter and foot switch:

Thanks for the kind comments. I am a beginner, only had my welder a month. Only TIG I have ever done was playing around with one at University very briefly and I had no idea what I was doing and didn't really achieve much. I have been MIG welding for a few years before I started TIG.
One thing...
Tried to space the dips out further and getting welds where the stack is more defined.
Towards the end of the weld I was feeding in the filler rather than dabbing to see what affect that had.
Its on 304 stainless that has just come off the saw and acetone wiped to clean the cutting fluid of it.
Wow very nice. Is that with pulse? How do u get that nice stacked look? I always get a smoother rippled look
Yes it was done with a roloc disc so more like grinding rather than sanding . The reason why I used acetone is that because it's cold rolled steel it was covered in oil.
Cheers Steve. Yep I really like having a Pyrex cup for visibility. I've only welded using this gas saver kit so I don't know how it compares to a gas lens or normal collet body.
Yes both sides were spotless and wiped with acetone.
Thanks for all the kind comments. I've had the welder for about a month and have just been constantly running beads for practice. I find weldingtipsandtricks videos very helpful.
Does my heat input look ok on the stainless welds?
I bought my torch separately from the welder all based off...
Hi all,
I'm new to TIG welding and have been practising a lot. Below are some of my practise lap joints, I would appreciate it if someone could critique my welds and give me tips for improvement.
Both metals were sanded clean and wiped with acetone.
All welds were done with using a tight arc...
I will get a photo of it up tomorrow.
The metal I am welding to is cold rolled steel which I have sanded. I am welding with er70-s2 rod and the tip is always kept in the shielding gas.
The first weld comes out beautifully on the steel, nice and shiny and perfect. Its after the piece of steel...
