Take a look at g&m radiators website, they list radiators & cores for nearly everything, look at core sizes and make tanks to suit.
look at the ptr cores
I bought it for a project I was going to do from home'but got let down & will only be sat collecting dust . everything is all as good as new the bloke I got it off said it still had warranty on it, I'm just waiting to hear from parweld to see if this is the case.
Most of the rads we build are only tested at low pressure, 2 bar being plenty ,oil coolers are tested at 180psi and that doesn't blow them to pieces but makes them look more like a rugby ball, we still get them returned have blown on the car etc under working pressure.
I make radiators for a living and the way we test is to bung all the pipes up & leave one so you can get air into it then submerge it in water' this will show the smallest of leaks up' just putting water in will not show these up, just thought id say before someone rings up to say this is...
I'm Having trouble getting my argon regulator to get above 5 lpm' I swapped regulators & got the same reading, I then put a pea shooter on the end of the torch & still a low reading. Would this point to a gas leak somewhere ?
cheers
On our 252 at work it has a 2 parts that are set with a feeler gauge, I cleaned the faces of these & reset the gap problem was solved. I'll have a look in the manual tomorrow to see what they are called.
Take the side panels off and find the 2 contacts, they may need cleaning and the gap resetting like on a spark plug.I had problems like yours on our murex 252 at work.
The regulator is a single gauge, I tried the pea shooter flowmeter today setting it at 7lpm,the one on the regulator was showing about 4lpm at the same time. so i think i will stick with the pea shooter for a true reading. Least i know i don't have a leak which is a relief.
thanks
Hi I seem to have a problem with my flow meter, I can turn it to fully open but when I press the foot pedal it wont go above 7lpm I have no idea how much gas flow I have, I tried a new flow meter which did the same, Could it be a leak somewhere ? or something im doing wrong ?
cheers
