Ooooooo, I would. Love to take my Seven around the Ring.
I used to own Superbikes. It wasn't a problem to stop & fill every 120 miles. Glad for a break from concentration.
As I've got older (I'm 62) my eyes have become less able to focus. You could say my eyes are lazy.
I can see perfectly at arms length and can read a newspaper at arms length, but I then look rather stupid.
At this moment this computer screen (17") is just out of reach of my fingertips, but...
Today I will finish off the Ford V6 top engine mounts.
One of these saves over 4kg of weight over the standard Ford item and to some that is the Holy Grail.

Hi Kim,
Everyones being so polite but the thread title is constructive criticism so here goes.
Your welds look ok but you are starting too far along the joint and stoping too quickly. Welds on box should roll right round the corner.
In Your photo that I have used as an example your wire...
I wear close focus reading glasses for welding, focusing at 30cms.
I explained my needs to the optician (Boots) by moving my chair close up to his desk, picking up a pen & pencil,
and pretended to tig weld. I said that as you can see my eyes are only 30cms away from what I am doing so that's...
Thanks Brad for the offer.
At the moment I'm ok, but I never know what I'll be doing next.
I have some support steelwork to weld in place this coming week. Some Ford V6 top engine mounts to make, galv ducting Y pieces, then the lighted arch to go with these panels.
Then it just the exhausts for...
There's a bloke down the pub that whenever I say, "Bought a new bla bla bla today," he says, "Got one of them in my shed".
If I ask beforehand he says, "Can't help ya".
He's not a relative of yours is he? :)

Why does everyone talk about compressors in litres? The size of the tank has no bearing on the output of the machine.
I own three cars. One with a ninety litre tank, one with a 60, and one with a 37. They all do 30mpg (ish).
Does the size of a cars fuel tank govern what car you buy? Don't...
Never did get the furnace to work so did it all cold in the end. It just needed a bigger hammer.
The first pic shows the original and the second is my attempt. The new ones are bigger so I needed to keep them looking similar.
There are two of these and I still have an arch to do that...
I have to have my eyes photographed every year as I am diabetic.
They say that this is necessary as I could go blind.
I told them that it wasn't needed as I would know if I was going blind as I would start posting in the "Learning MIG Welding" section on here.
;)
You just need encouragement.
Box of drills one side; empty box the other. File in hand and pick up 1st drill.
Rub, rub, rub; place in empty box, saved a pound. NEXT !
Rub, rub, rub; place in box, saved another pound. NEXT !
Rub, rub, rub; place in box, that's three pounds. NEXT !
Rub, rub...
A few years back when Top Gear was a motoring program they did a survey and found that 1 in 4 drivers wouldn't pass the number plate test.
They took the survey results and a film crew and handed them in to number 10.
Frightnin init. Every forth person you meet on the road can't see you...
Whenever a torch or lead bites the dust I strip it down and save the water and gas lines.
This 1/4" od line makes superb purge and follower lines.
The bigger power line with the copper braid removed from the inside makes excellent air line.
Every cloud has a silver lining. ;)

But, vehicles are so much better now. I have an MX5 and a Merc estate and both are '03s. Thats 14, coming on 15 years old and still going strong.
Years ago the average ten year old car with 70k on the clock was a wreck.
Most of the rust MOT fails are wings and sills which are cosmetic...
