I use polyester to cast items, it doesn't stand up to heat terribly well. Whilst I wouldn't expect it to fail completely I suspect you'd lose clamping power as it deformed around stress points.
They will be getting food somewhere outside the building. Find their access and place traps. Bait them but don't set them for a couple of weeks, just keep replacing the bait, then start setting them. They love peanut butter and chocolate bizarrely enough.
As has been said by others, it looks like a small bore pre-A+ engine that someone has fitted A+ rockers to, it's a Bitza, but then so are most of them one way or another.
Does it have value, absolutely. I'd make sure it can be turned over and gears selected and then bung it on eBay with lots of...
I use one on my ML7, not very rigid and a bit of a mare to get square. I find it useful when I'm turning plastics and composites but it struggles with metals.
I've used the Frost tank sealants a couple of times, they do what it says on the tin but, and it's a big but, you do need to allow the stuff to cure properly (give it a couple of weeks). If there is any softness the fuel turns it into jelly and you'll suddenly be glad you've got a fuel filter.
I've had this a few times as a hobbyist, that and competitors buying specially made kit, breaking it and posting bad feedback.
Or, you make something like this on a manual lathe with quite a few hours work in it and people want it giving away.
My better half has had the soft topped version for nearly a year, nice car that drives really well. Mazda went back to basics a bit with this version, no power roof ect which has kept the weight down.
She had the Mk1 before this and the contrasts in engine technology are quite stark, it gives...
I made poly bushes for one of my kit cars on the lathe a few years back, It would only work after the bar had spent the night in the freezer and it still didn't look to special afterwards. I ended up replacing them with bushes I'd bought.
As said they were issued to us on the ambulances, on fitting it is like night and day, you go from sliding backwards to making good forward progress with chunks of snow being chucked past the windows. Taking them on and off when you get out of the sticks and only gritted roads can be a pain over...
I'm in the market for a ball turning attachment to fit my ML7, up to 60mm diameter and with the ability to turn concave etc.
There is a limited number on eBay and they have mixed reviews, does anyone have any specific recommendations?
