I had a look on eBay and the following came up. It looks like a home made job but if I'm only essentially replacing capacitors it should be ok. These are rated for 80uf but 60uf are available. Anyone ever retrofit different capacitors onto a welder?
Hi there,
I hope you are well. I was using my welder burning 3.2mm rods when the power seemed to go and it was like it was welding with 40-50 amps and just sticking to the workpiece. I checked the earth, holder etc.bit it made no difference. I tried turning it up to the last and putting all the...
Hi there, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I was thinking of something along the same lines. "Would it be possible to turn up spacers and make brackets that fill the gaps?"
Turn "Sleeves" as you say (I was calling them spacers) the same diameter as the JCB pin with the centres bored out to a Ford...
Hi there,
I'd like to put a 4 in 1 bucket on my Ford but I'm having problems sourcing a Ford one at a reasonable cost. JCB buckets are more plentiful around here. The hangers on the JCB are wider and have bigger pins. I'd like to be able to sell on the bucket again should the time come and...
How many square metres do you reckon you have covered? And how much has this cost you? With concrete and wood its easier to ground that type of material.
A shipping container is metal so fixers would have to be welded or drilled through the skin of the container which woulds possibly...
Hi there, thanks for your replies. There much appreciated!
There are no specifications to go by in the ebay description. This paint seems only there to prevent mold. The Grafotherm site tells you the coverage and thicknesses etc. This product doesn't claim any of that... Worth a try though as...
Hi there,
I'm currently kitting out a shipping container for storage and I found this post on the forum.
I'm wondering if you could give me some advice with regards an anti condensation coating.
- Should I paint the entire interior or just the roof?
- What should I expect to pay per litre?

It all depends on the momentum the drill has built up. Once you have accelerated the mass of the crank and the flywheel up to cranking speed no further energy input is needed (exactly like hand cranking), you then engage the decompression lever. Simple physics really- you would need a good...
One problem I can find with using air to start a compressor is that you only want to start the engine when your low/out of air. You would have to be watching it all the time unless you could make it automatic... I'd use an air gun with a spring loaded socket if the air supply was reliable...
Depends on the drill I suppose. Does the engine have a decompression valve?
This was done on a 12hp petrol engine:

Drill might not last too long if your using it like that though plus there's always the risk it might kick back and run in reverse...
How much work will you be doing in it?? If your doing a lot of late hours making noise having cars parked around the place your neighbors might kick up a fuss and contact the council. Just a thought...

Would someone have more info on them??
It could have an airlock in the system, happened to my uncle. upstairs rads were working fine but bottom one's were not working. He opened a joint on the lowest point of the pipe work downstairs and it pushed out the air out he closed it obviously when it started gushing . He tried bleeding the...
