Here's a word to the wise I had a cheap regulator and flow meter and thought I was doing well, but I ended up spending a lot more on gas I brought the Harris equivalent of the Elga Optimator Gas Saver Regulator, it was cheaper and in 2 bottles of gas 30l it's paid for itself in extended life!
All fixed by a different garage 1.5 hrs to find the leak, from the reservoir, plus new reservoir was fitted all in £100, wish I'd found these proper mechanics first rather than the part swappers near me!
Tungsten swapping made a difference not as much as post flow increase through, argon flow dropped to 8 lpm no changes noticed other than gas savings.

It started as a point the AC balance is set to -30% I'm welding 3mm aluminium running beads as practice. I've had to drop to 65 amps otherwise the plate gets too hot and grainy and I can't feed rod (2.4mm) quick enough
