W.ooly, i cut some 1mm sheet and made said spacer from that, bit fiddly but all i can do without a lathe
i have one of them, i put a part worn abrasive cutting disc on and it works just fine, i had to make a small spacer for the fixing hole, full size...
i am on my 2nd pair of them, nice and comfy, very light but the soles are a bit pants but for that money, if i replace them every year they are...
