That's lovely
My local tester loved doing the Sandrail as it was something a bit different to the day in, day out. However I would bone up on the Q plate regs as it is not something a tester will see every day (fog lights, emissions etc). Was always quick as not much to test!
Thanks @voipio and @mrsbruce that's great information. Looks like there are a good few SW options for stacking.
Struggling to find a basic eq mount that does not come with a telescope attached, but as I say one step at a time.
Picking up a used camera tripod tomorrow and see how we get on with...
Thanks all!
@voipio We are in rural south wight so light pollution is pretty low. ratio of 0.68 according to your link. Looks like a used EOS350D is a pretty cheap option combined with a good tripod and EQ mount.
Seems that lunar/planetary is a lot cheaper than deep space (which uses different...
How to get into this from a standing start for a teenager that may or may not suddenly loose interest... ?
I think the first step is probably just to get a tripod for their (decent) optical zoom, point and shoot camera but then DSLR? photo stacking software ? Telescope + camera mount ? Don't...
Yep that's the set up for an IMAP email account. If you have one and want to set it up, go to the providers website and they will give you the correct info to fill in the boxes.
That is/was the the foam gun version "...for foam guns...". They had a lot of issues over about 18 months then it seemed to improve. I tried other products that didn't lose/run out of propellant but were just not as good.
The single use straw ones are ok for single use, as are cheap foam guns!
A...
The expensive Instastik squirty sticky foam cans for foam guns are notorious for running out of propellant whilst half full. At £15/can that tee's me right off.
The OEM on the XK8 - and the only ones listed as available in that size are Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico, at £278...
...EACH :o
Tweak the size by 0.4% and lots of others are available thankfully as it needs 4
Big fan of Rainsports, had them on my Saab 9-3, wanted them for the XK8 but don't seem to be able to get them on the Island, so its Falken or Goodyear F1Asymetric something or other
Thanks @arther dailey and @daleyd for confirming my thoughts, I only have flex head ratchets and was thinking about the fixed head ones as they are a colour coded set, but worried that they would just not be as useful. Looks like I will just have to wait for Sealey to get their finger out and...
With you on that one, I have an entire rack of spanners that never sees use but the combo ratchet flexi heads are my go to.
With the diag work most wrenching is light so I changed all my sockets/torx/allens to the Sealey colour coded ones, saves a few seconds every time I pick one up- and...
Wired it all up, converter in the box (that I had handy!), works great, super fast !
.. and fits nicely in my parts box - even room for the jumper cables under the battery pack.
I keep one in a bag at the back of the evolutution chop saw and one on the mill/drill, keeps the hot flying chips and swarf down, then as above just change the bag.
Possibly, but in everything else that they do, that does not seem to be their philosophy.
Pretty sure we would not all get as exited as we regularly do about their stuff if it was the same cheap junk available on ebay.
Well, if you are major drugs operator and install a big steel door to protect it, probably best not to install the frame with squirty foam :clapping:
