Expect to pay an extra tenner but if possible get them with the 6 jaws I have both and 6 jaw ones leave a nicer crimp...

Knipex, they have 2 offerings one with 4 jaws and one with 6, auto adjust. Been using both my pairs for years and haven't any complaints.

Grind out the rust until you get to good material. 6013 will cope with a little surface rust but its far from ideal.

That style looks better than the ones with the earth probe in the centre of the magnet, they can often leave arc marks.

Always with guard on, if I can't get it in to do the job then its not the right tool.

Unless running off the battery only Think you've always got to use it in conjunction with the charger Brad , the fronius that is. Saying that when I had a go with one I couldn't get it to run properly off the mains, probably doing something wrong.

resurrecting an old thread here, but now had the lorch micorstick 180 and battery for the past 6 months or so, used nearly every day. Just thought I'd give you my thoughts. The welder itself is a lovely bit of kit, super smooth when running, I've used this for alot of hard facing, and big jobs...

Don't mean to insult but are you sure you have put it into mma/stick mode?
