The amount I use one it wouldnt be economical to rent one. I would be using it at least 3 times a week, Oh and if they arnt immaculate they charge a small fortune.
I have a bobcat mini digger 1.7 ton had an antique machine before that I bought at an auction no tracks but could be towed behind a 4x4. It made such a mess on jobs it had to go, il try dig out some pics.
I have a fair size fabrication job to paint over the next week being painted in enamel, anyone have any suggestions on a decent unit that will get the job done quick? Ive used air assisted before but this doesn't warrant such a machine. Not keen on the cheapo ebay units.
The a50 is a nice mask, i bought one after having the a40 which is also a good helmet for the money if you think the a50 is on the pricey side. I like the shell of the a40 and a50 it seems more flexible then others which is handy when you need to jam your head in somewhere. I use mine...
I remember when I first started on this forum he would post on almost every thread I looked at, he posted over 10k messages but not seen since 2019. Or was he banned?
As above look for an inverter mig far nicer to use than step switch transformer based. A friend has a r tech 180 which is a good machine for what you are looking for however I havent had a play with it myself. Jasic 200 is a small portable mig with 5 years warranty and I'm pretty sure they do a...
Yes i was looking on Facebook and saw a company using a marathon pac with jib wire feed. I'd just like to know where to get the wire feed unit from and what they are called. Can they hook upto any powersource?
Yes i get that im just wondering if it works when you press the inching button (the button inside near the wire drive that feeds wire without gas) i ask because I had the exact same with my migatronic awhile back cost me £300 to get it sorted. Needed a new pcb.
I have a tecarc 300 single phase with 15m remote wire feed, its a beaten up machine but it keeps going. I dont think an inverter machine would hack the abuse its been through, nice machine with smooth delivery. Just a side note if you get one with seperate wire feed dont get the cables to long...
I'm on the look out for a wire feeder that can hook up to any power source and be mounted on a jib, im sure ive seen these before. The wire was mounted at the base of the jib and the wire feeder was at the end looked a great set up for what u do. Does anyone know who make these?
I dont know how much it costs to have installed but all I can say is its worth getting, i looked at 3 or 4 units before i got the one im in now which were all fairly big places but didn't have 3 phase electric. The estate I am on now is a massive old pow camp which has 3 substations, some of the...
I never noticed it until I had a hired in mig but my migatronic won't run 1mm wire below 25v but I'm sure the jasic i had on hire would run it at about 22v is this a big deal? My migatronic puts down alot nicer bead with far less spatter.
