Drop me a PM
Once I’ve modified the cad model my mate will be making one for his on the plasma.
I had to tweak this a bit after I got mine as I’d been a bit greedy on table size
Cut out of 4mm plate the same as the standard piece
I made a new table for my bargain Aldi portable bandsaw ( that still allows it to work as the chop saw as well) and allows it to be mounted in the vice as a vertical bandsaw
So I drew up a quick plate in Solidworks and emailed the DXF to my mate Matt round the corner who has a 2x2 CNC extreme plasma table, which got me started.
I had a few bits to trim off and I opened up the holes to 6mm and countersunk them.
Had to open up the blade slot a bit too just to get it...
Had a look at SWAG offroad who do really neat tables to make these into small vertical bandsaws, but lots of money by the time they are over here.
So I have designed my own, I`ll update when i get it made, Ive kept it so you can still use it in the horizontal stand, certainly for 90 cuts...
So today my hugely expensive kit of bits arrived to recommission my Kremlin Air assisted Airless sprayer.
I bought a hopper too as that’s going to be more use with smaller quantities than the dip tube.
Crazy really
I could have bought a nice Devilbiss or SATA gun for what these bits cost ...
Some astronomically expensive bits to recommission one of my Kremlin Air assisted airless sprayers, and a hopper rather than dip tube for paint to make it a bit more sensible for smaller quantities
FB marketplace lucky spot, messaged him and went straight out the door to collect them (socially distanced and masked up of course) and grabbed a Chinese take out on the way back as the decoy ;):D
Pair of 8” record G-cramps for less than the subsequent Chinese
Ive got a Mk2 mania adjustable height one
Sits on the floor, no brace
But I have got chassis dollies to drop the shell on to if I need to move it.
CAn do it all with the height adjustment on the rollover jig, wind down onto dollys, keep winding to lift the jig off the floor, move position, drop...
Mine arrived today, I am officially in the doghouse :scared: things have been a bit tight of late financially, so it wasnt really a priority spend, but I couldnt not have it at that price, like the parkside Plasma (Which hasnt been out of the box yet either)
Some of my Recent stuff
Gearbox end case, fully machined casting
Intake manifold, which was cad modelled, 3d printed to check fitment, then investment cast direct from the 3d print, all done in 5 days
Vtwin crankcase machining model (I model like this so you can write the CNC code just for...
Design engineer here, learnt on a drawing board, have since flown all the major systems professionally for many thousands of hours.
Solidworks is still my go to and the one I try and point people towards just because if you’ve never done any cad, it is so easy to get started with and progress...
I’ve got 2 Kremlin Air assisted set ups that I’m just recommissioning now
Hoping to be able to use it for decorating and also spraying epoxy in my garage with very minimal overspray
Yeah wd40 is pretty useless at most things other than what it was designed for (Water Displacement)
Duck oil stays oily once the solvent has evaporated
And it’ll get wrapped in an oily rag too to make sure.
Got a second coat of red on last night too
Looks a bit better but still grinning...
