Cheers andy , sorry not done anything like this yet so it’s new - so I’ve pulled all wires from the switch - meter is set to it’s lowest , so I put one lead on the no1 setting ( wire) and other lead on no6 ( wire) and see what I get
Sorry to be a pest - but how do I test sorry , switch is ok and is only selecting 1 off 6 , with the wires of rectifier it’s still cooking - probably the transformer has had it but I would like to learn how to test this for in the future - thanks again
Anyone have a wiring diagram for said model at all ? Had some time on my hands today and dragged it out to have another look , swp mig170 turbo , as I have never tested a transformer before any help would be appreciated

Update , went back too it , pulled wires off that I had connected , didn’t arc , put wires back on didn’t arc , shorted it out so it was on then took short out and didn’t do it - put the wires back in and don’t do it now - aaasrggggggggghhhhhhh , will run it tomoz and see what happens
Ok Iam back on this bloody thing - it’s driving me mad , changed the motor and that’s ok - but it did not like the euro torch setup that was already on it - cebora euro socket did not like the clarke drive motor -
So I took it off and had a spare 4m torch and put that on instead - works brill...
