Our garage is at the bottom of the garden, there is currently a 20A feed to it made up of twin and earth in the house then connected to SWA for the outside run.
We're thinking of getting wooden floors laid in the not too distant future, so I'm thinking about getting the feed upgraded...

You can use point to point bridges and meshing, but it gets a lot more complex very quickly that way.
Ours was about the same. Had to fit a PRV for the washing machine and dishwasher. Everything else was fine.

Yeah been there before. The last time I just replaced the tap, to one from a known manufacturer (Bristan) who listed the spare carts with part numbers. The previous tap was a B&Q special I think.
