SAE was the standard on UNF fittings
DIN is standard on metric
I have seen brake pipes made...
If you have a friend that could adjust the wire speed as you weld
Or adjust it by a small amount each time
only adjust one thing at a time
did you need to put a washer under it to get the lock in the correct place
VW touran 1600 there are loads worse that hat one
