I know the battery needed, its just an 063 car battery for a little fiesta, I normally buy batteries from motor factors incase of any warranty...

That battery sounds perfectly fine, have you checked for a parasitic draw? don't want to hijack the thread but does anyone know of a decent online...

the carbs can look spotless but you only need a tiny bit of dirt in the plastic pilot jet to stop them running ... or the emulsion tube.
+1 had two sets at 13quid each, cant fault them
the carbs for these are only about a tenner, would be worth getting one.
did you clear the pilot jet, doesnt take much at all to stop them running
i think that answers that then, knowing my luck the batteries would leak and destroy a perfectly good tool, one less thing to go wrong!
