Just bought a Hornet 600.
A bit lumpy on tickover, but get past that and it flies.
-Drained carbs and replaced the year old fuel with fresh.
-Balanced the carbs. Not a million miles out, but some bikes can be quite sensitive to balance.
-Tightened the plugs. Were practically hand tight.
'Seems' to be running a lot sweeter now. Need to take her out for a proper blast, as she has sat idle for a year.
Just a queston to anyone who knows or owns one:
A previous owner has clearly tinkered about with her. They have removed a pipe from the top of the airbox and sealed the joint with silicon.
Anyone know where the original pipe went to as I cannot see anywhere for it to go?
What were they trying to achieve? probably some tuning myth they discovered on a forum from a nobody who has no idea?
