i recently painted the Kitten bonnet. Epoxy primed and cleaned thoroughly. The 2K (Jawel) paint applied was just a sea of fish eyes for some reason. One interesting point is that I am convinced I saw a couple in the bottom of the now empty pot. So now I have flatted back and recoated with epoxy to 320 dry.
Cleaning was done with U-Pol slow panel wipe, three times with care. Just out of interest, I then cleaned it again with brake cleaner aka "fast" panel wipe. I was surprised to find more sanding residue coming off on the wipes. Twice I cleaned it off before it stopped colouring the wipe.
The bonnet is now hardening before I recoat it. I have bought fresh paint, hardener and thinners from a local supplier for my next effort.
