A strange one!
18 months old, out of guarantee and plagiarise a phrase, "the red light flashes but no one is at home".
Basically it's ignoring the remote (and it's not the remote I've tried three different ones!) If you turn it off (remove the power lead) and leave it for a few minutes you have about 10 seconds on power up to change channel and adjust volume after that, no chance! Although if you press off, in eh next 2-3 minutes it may switch off.
There is a joystick on the back of the TV that I assume is "hard wired" into the electronics (i.e. a get you home if the remote dies) that does nothing.
I've done a factory reset, it worked for about 3 hours, then reverted to type!
I've removed all external connections except power (i.e. HDMI, network and USB). no effect.
I've googled this fault and most people suggest changing batteries in the remote, but I suspect this is either hardware related (cheap Chines caps) or software related (processor busy doing something that prevent it reading the inputs).
Anybody come across this or got any thoughts?
Cheers
Peter
