Just thought I'd mention this one.
I've been having a problem with a new Parweld torch. The symptom is that although the wire feed/trigger and gas work, there was no welding current.
Investigation proved the problem was the connection of the torch hose at the europlug on the welder.
The outer collar, even when screwed right up, doesn't tighten the hose sufficiently to make a good (or any) connection between the mating brass faces.
I solved the problem by making up a copper shim to fit inside it.
I thought that was an end to it, but a conversation with a mate says that he's got the same problem with his Parweld hose- different welder.
Both Migtigarc and TAS (Welder manufacturer) have been very helpful over this, but just wondered if anyone else has had this one crop up. Could point to a manufacturing problem?
