Something else I spotted a few nights ago whilst watching a band. Not quite a workshop related picture but very fitting for this forum....... I've seen many interesting things that you guys have made using gas bottles but these really do take the p##s
I was asked to make some out of SS beer kegs. But declined because of possible claims from the brewery[who had been asked every week for the last 8months to collect]
Hi, You did well to steer clear. The barrels belong to the brewery and virtually everything to do with them without the breweries permission is against the law, much more so than gas bottles.

I found a workshop like that in Bradford in the early '70s. He was a pulley maker and he had a small workshop in a backstreet amongst the mills. I had a badly worn aluminium pulley on my car and he grafted a cast-iron pulley onto the fan, charged me 50p
I have been to your unit I recall.
The first thing I thought was I've never seen any one repairing a CV and they are a disposable item in our workshops
tell me more if you wouldnt mind.I must be weird then, I've got 4 in pieces awaiting new GKN stars and cages as we speak!
BIL's mate was locked up overnight and his stock of items made from stainless barrels confiscated, Even though he had bought them from a brewery because they had been close to a fire, And they were destined for disposal, Turns out that the brewery guy that sold them did not know they couldn't be sold and must be destroyed, When it was all sorted out he didn't get his items back.
tell me more if you wouldnt mind.
are they an item that can be got for any CV joint or is it only some cars.
