much the same as garden heater but just one large door and top flue so it burns much quicker and can be top loaded dont get as much heat out from it though still wouldn't rest me spuds on it though lol
learnt a few things doing the first one so this one took 2 or 3 hours in total lol
first thing that i learnt use a 2" hole cutter for the bottom air vent first
slowly does it
box section in the 2" hole whilst the valve is held in the vice to undo it (left hand thread)
drilled and marked ready to cutting out the large door
hammered a piece of broom stale into the thread so my 4" hole cutter could get a grip
i'm going to need a bigger drill
slow going!!
with the help of a lump hammer
poor welding! wasn't sure how to get good contact with the pipe and the bottle so i just carried on regardless lol
i am going to be a great grinder at this rate
hinges in place and door marked out
self tappers holding hinges in place and 1mm slit disk used to cut it out
starting to take shape now peeing down though
flue extension notice the white residue from not grinding enough of the zinc off
handle tacked on getting dark now time to light it to get rid of the paint
next morning ready for a good wire brushing
extension back on when lighting then removed to enable top loading
handle refitted to help moving it
after thqat all i did was finish grinding the welds then a quick coat of red oxide primer on the welds
hope you like
