so I am assuming you have all experienced this, your drilling through steel with a combi or whatever (because the workpiece is too big for the drill press) and it drill great, until your just breaking through the other side and it grabs, and snap, on a press its fine, as the bit is held steady but you can still see there is a "grab" as it emerges, but when i'm out and about im snapping bits left right and centre, and its getting expensive, I can drill jsut fine, I can put a 10mm hole in 10mm mild steel in 20 seconds or so, but where it grabs..
does anyone have a solution to this? I have tried HSS and cobalt bits, and most types of lubricant.
