ok guys so I've picked up a cheap almera £350. It's an 02 plate took it for mot today failed on. Rear brake pipe corrosion , which they are just near the joint with flexi hose . They are plastic coated I think but not the last bit where ther rotten .
I've got the exhaust off and dropped fuel tank , the pipes seem to run up to the front of car with no joins .
I've been to a local independent motor factor and they can make new ones no problem just need the old ones as pattern .
Or Can I cut and put a join in and just replace the bad bit , back in the day I had a moprod flaring tool , it's disappeared tho . So can I get a decent flaring tool for cheap and buy coil of pipe /firttings , or is it gonna be cheaper / less hassle to get new complete lines made up ?
I only need the car to last 12 months or so so don't want to spend much on it !
Cheers Mike
