Why. Blue is a great DC electrode.Blue on Aluminium Red for steels
Do u want to try a hfms? I'll send you a 2.4 to try as I have a few of those kicking about. What's a decent brand of tungstens to go with? I tried blues on my old transformer unit and could not get on with them so I used reds. Now that I've an inverter based unit I'd like to give blues another try as people say good things about them.
Nice one cheers medear x
I doubt there's much in it with regards to the usual suspects from SWP, Parweld etc that are only gonna stick their name on the packaging. AIUI outside of China* there's not even a handful of tungsten electrode manufacturers... Plansee in Austria, Wolfram Industries in Germany and Sylvania in the States. You won't find any UK sources offering them online, at least not with prices unless you pick up the phone. Elmer Wallace (used to at least) only supply Plansee tungstens, Diamondground have a UK sales office and do a massive range with tungsten sourced from Plansee, Wolfram or SylvaniaWhat's a decent brand of tungstens to go with?
