I have several 2 and 3 legged pullers, general use in 3 tonne and 10 tonne force of varying capacity. I am always short of just a tad shorter or that bit deeper capacity same as yourselves no doubt. The ones I have are all Facom or Sykes when I could get them for good prices.
I am sorely tempted to buy one of those less than £10 1 million tonne Chinese made pullers off ebay just to destructively test but life is short.
Puller sales seem like fertile ground for half right auto tool vendors to slip in some poorly made crud to compliment their range of half right products.
Laser churn out some pullers at moderate pricing but do they come from the same factory as the lead ones sold for £10 on ebay or are they up the range by a margin?
I am after a range of blind bearing pullers 10mm to 30mm and several of the smaller sizes in bearing splitters to flesh out what I have in my shed. Also one or two 3 legged in the micro size range.
I can easily avoid the ones that seem to have a cadmium plated oversized coach bolt for a forcing screw and the ones with slag pits in the forgings but after that they mainly look the same, on a computer screen they are almost indistinguishable from each other.
