Hi all,
Bought a TIG welder last month and I have been spending a lot of time practising. I have been following a lot of weldingtipsandtricks videos as they are great, but I have a question about laying multiple beads on steel for practice.
When welding cold rolled mild steel (en3b) if I lay a bead and let it cool, it forms a scale on the surface and I have to grind this off before I can weld on it again. Is this normal?
Reason why I ask is because of this video:
Jody recommends laying loads of beads on a single piece of steel but gives no mention of grinding any scale off after each weld?
Many Thanks
