Hi
I'm a beginner to tig welding and welding aluminium so it might just be that i need more practice. I've been repairing a few case motorbike levers that i've previously snapped and whilst functional don't look nice.
I started with a 1.6mm 0.8% Zirconated tungsten at 120 amps reducing in stages to 90 amps before changing to 2.4mm tungsten at between 90-130 amps. Gas flow was 11 litres per minute. Filler rod 5350 (5% magnesium).
I've attached a few pictures of the finished welds, any hints or tips appreciated.
Thanks
Nic
