I feel I already know the answer, but as a complete novice I'd honestly like to know if it's possible for me to do a half decent job at home.
I need to respray some panels on my Saab 9000 (off the car). I have a wing, 2 doors, front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a spoiler to respray to give you an idea of size. I've got the use of a large, free-standing garage and will put up plastic sheeting to create as much of a 'booth' as possible to keep dust away.
I currently have an old, small compressor that was given to me - I was told the previous owner resprayed his Scirocco with it but I'm sceptical. The specs are:
Panel by panel and taking my time, have I got any chance? I know it's far from ideal but is it even going to be possible with that little thing?
I currently have an old hose and 2 suction feed guns with it that I'll ditch in favour of an HVLP gun, but I'll come on to that later as I have no idea what equipment or price range to look at for my purposes.
Thanks in advance.
