Hi all,
When I started welding I bought an auto helmet from eBay, I have used it for stick welding at college and with my tig in my garage with no problems. We moved on to mig at college tonight and I have come home with what looks like sunburn on my face despite wearing my mask at all times during welding. My visor was set to 12 as recommended in the instructions. Is it possible to get arc eye/ burn through a welding mask and why would it only happen while using the mig and not with my tig at home?
Thanks in advance!
