That's ok then. Fully repaint, all new parts and better finish than out of factors look ok at the country shows but tractors are to be used but they do need looking after as well
a part of me does want to all out on a full nut and bolt restore but a bigger part of me doesn't. will probably just give her a mechanical restore and then buy another one to go nuts with.
change the front tire it looks krap: laughing: i was working on a farm last month and they have an old major and its in mint condition all original and hardly any rust on it i wish i could have bought it but the old biddy wont part with it
Very nice, agree on leaving the paint, I wish my Dexta wasn't so far gone and only need some fettling, would have been finished in a bit less than the 8 or so years it taken so far...... probably.
Lovely tool, I still use one for a couple of weeks every year at a medieval festival. Have towed a lot of obstinate landrover owners out of the mud, as well as powering a wood processor and delivering trailer loads of wood around the site. Rebuilt ten years ago and won't need touching again for another twenty or so!
took the bonnet, air cleaner and pipes, fuel tank and lines and drained the coolant out of her when i got home from work earlier and have just finishes removing the rocker cover and injectors, she's in desperate need of and oil and filter change! contemplating taking the engine out and re building it at the moment provided i can get a good cheap engine stand, other wise will try and do it in situe. but before i do that her electrics need urgent attention.
