your diagram may well allow the motor to run but it can't have the power it should have. If it was a dual voltage motor and run in delta it would be better but even then it will be down on power?

Be careful with the size capacitor you use. Measure the voltages goin into the motor. Make sure they are balanced. Too high a capacitance can rise th voltage and burn out the windings.
Less capacitors is better
