As a keen DIYer I have used cellulose paint in the past and had mostly good results, however I'm part way through doing repairs and have come upon a problem with new paint causing problems with the paint previously applied years ago. Rather than remove all the existing paint and filler down to bare metal could I switch to using 2 pack ( assuming this will cover OK) primer to seal what lies beneath and then continue with cellulose top coat
or use an isocyanate free system that Jawel paint are offering on ebay

I would prefer to steer clear of 2 pack as there seem to be conflicting remarks over the health hazards associated with using it without the correct breathing apparatus ( as I don't have an air fed mask ) and this isocyanate free paint may be a solution for me.
I read on hear about "Lechler" paint being a good but there seems to be so many technicalities involved I'm not sure I'd select the correct product. Any ideas please?
Thanks
