Finally got to use my new Clarke 160 TM this evening (Thanks again to "London Wrought Iron" for the VAT free code )
Found an old shelf sat in the corner of the garage, cleaned off the paint with a grinder on areas I wanted to weld, although I only cleaned one side of the metal, should I do both next time?
You can see the first few welds on larger piece, took a few attempts before realising I forgot to turn the gas on (Argon Shield Light BOC)
It was sizzling a bit like bacon (as I read it should on here) but with the odd bang/crackle spitting a bit of weld, wire feed was on about 4 and power was 1 High, using 0.6mm wire.
All advice taken, I know my torch control isn't all that great yet and I think I am moving the torch a bit fast, practise practise practise!
